In Home Service & Repair
You treasure your sewing machine. It’s your source of income, your favorite hobby, or maybe a treasured heirloom that has been passed down from a member of your family. For this reason, many don’t want to drop their machine off at a shop for 3-4 weeks and have a complete stranger open it up, take it apart, and tinker with the insides!
With our in-home sewing machine service and repair, you are there the whole time. You can ask questions and watch as we work on your machine. Our technicians are happy to answer any questions you may have and explain what is being done as we go along. In fact, questions are encouraged! So don’t be shy, its your machine and you deserve to know and understand what is being done.
Questions You May Have
How long does an in-home service take?
The time frame really depends on the machine being worked on and what the problem is. Normally, the work can be completed in 1-2 hours, however, we suggest the customer allow for a three hour time period to be set aside in case any unexpected problems arise. When you call in to schedule your service we will try to get as much information from you as possible so that we can give you an accurate time frame beforehand.
Do you charge for travel?
We do not charge for travel if you live within the service area map shown below. If you live outside of the service area, a small travel charge of 50 cents per mile is added to the final bill. Upon scheduling your appointment we will give you a final quote for the price of the service labor and travel charge.
What if my machine needs parts?
It’s not always possible to know beforehand whether or not a machine will need parts. If we find that the machine needs parts while we are performing the service, will inform you immediately, show you what needs to be replaced, and order the part right away. Keep in mind that some parts can take 2-3 weeks to arrive. If that is the case then will we need to reschedule the service for when the part arrives.
